Jello, ice cream, cream of wheat, soups. These will help. Spicy foods may hurt. Also grainy foods.

Anything with sugar in it, and dairy products. So, even though ice cream feels good going down, it feeds the bacteria sugar and the amino acid tryptophan.
Honey is a sugar that is antimicrobial, and peanut butter also inhibits bacteria.
If you’re 21 or over, brandy with honey and lemon will make it feel better. I gargle it before swallowing — kill the germs, kill the sick feeling;)

i think ramen noodles would be good for your throat too, they are a warm soup, and it is filling. yay! something you can eat!
sweet tarts and prob. like citrusy fruits will agravate it. only advil will help. try gargling with listerine. yes i t will burn but it will heal much quicker same with cancasores. they will heal withing 3 days if you rinse AM and PM
